At the International Labor Conference being held at Geneva, Switzerland by International Labor Organization of the UN, Udaipur’s Jagdish Raj Shrimali is representing Udaipur, as well as India at the global meet.

Jagdish Raj Shrimali is the National Secretary of INTUC, New Delhi and State Working President- INTUC, Rajasthan (Indian National Trade Union Congress). He is also the State General Secretary of Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee at INC.

He started as a labor way back in 1980 at Udaipur Cement Works Ltd., Dabok. During that time, he actively participated in various campaigns and missions for labor rights and eventually became leader of labor unions. Heading ahead, he soon became a member of INTUC and today, he is representing Udaipur and India at a global platform.

While talking to UT, he said that he will put forth the problems of the workers working in mines and in informal sectors in the conference. Adding further he feels grateful to be a part of this conference.

Along with Shrimali, other delegates from the Central Ministry of Labor, various representatives of the industry & labor unions as well as INTUC members are attending this conference in Geneva. The government sponsored tour will conclude on 17th June.
