Bridal and Make-up artist from Udaipur Monika Jurani has bagged the Millennium Brilliance Award 2018. Monica was felicitated by actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra for bridal make-up.  She won the most promising award for make up studio in Udaipur.

Millennium Brilliance Award 2018 was held in Hotel Clarks Amer in Jaipur. Make-up artists from all over the country participated in this event. Udaipur’s well known bridal-makeover expert Monika Jurani’s work was chosen for her expertise in bridal-makeup.

UT interacted with Monica subsequent to her felicitation.  Here is a brief of the interview with her:

Beautician/Makeup Artist as a career

I have always been fascinated with makeup and i feel that makeup and beauty runs in the blood of girls.  I completed my Masters in Business Administration and opted to pursue this field.  I specialise in bridal make up and hair.

Training and Achievements

After deciding to pursue makeup as a career, I took training from various institutes and pro makeup artistes in India and Europe.  I learnt all the essentials from there and returned to Udaipur to pursue my dream.

Achievements – Motivation – Challenges

Millenium Brilliance Award and felicitation by a personality as important as style icon diva Shilpa Shetty Kundra as far as my domain is concerned, is my greatest achievement in such a short span of time.  The constant urge to do better motivates me and keeps me going.  Being in Udaipur is not a challenge and in fact I am grateful to my family and in laws for the support and continuing motivation.  The city has much to offer and I intend to give back more to it than it gives me.

Goals and USP

My unique selling proposition is my clients.  I make sure that the work which I do, makes my clients day the most memorable one.  Listening to the clients preferences, and adding my expertise enables me to bring out the best for them.  My long term goal is to incubate my own business and make it a renowned brand.  With the kind of assignments I have in the pipeline, I aim to be a makeup artist of choice for the best of weddings and the best of celebrities.
