Udaipur’s poet Nazneen Ali felicitated in Kuwait

Nazneen Ali Wagpura, born and bought up in Udaipur and now residing in Kuwait was felicitated by Maurya Kala Parisar at Indian Embassy Kuwait for her renowned work as poet / writer and contribution to Hindi Literature in Kuwait.

Nazneen Ali Wagpura, born and bought up in Udaipur and now residing in Kuwait was felicitated by Maurya Kala Parisar at Indian Embassy Kuwait for her renowned work as poet / writer and contribution to Hindi Literature in Kuwait.

The award was given by Padma Shree Dr C.P. Thakur, Ex-cabinet Minister, Govt of India, at the Maurya Manch 2017, held on May 5th 2017, at Indian Embassy Kuwait.

Nazneen Ali hails from Udaipur and has been living in Kuwait for last 14 years and is currently working with Bank Muscat as Finance Manager. She is an executive member of the Writer’s Forum Kuwait.

She writes in English, Hindi and Urdu. From Hindi literature perspective she has written many poems, some short stories,articles and Nukkad Natak as well. Her poems have been published on Udaipur Times also. She writes on all subjects, particularly on social issues like status of women in society, national integration and patriotism.

Her story Khushnaseebya Badnaseeb (Part I and Part II) was quite appreciated by the readers as it highlighted the subject of “Beti Bachao Aandolan”. Political Satire “Netaji phir kab aaoge” also received good response from the readers. Poem “Mutthi bhar sapne” is popular among the expat community as they all relate themselves to the verses of the poem. Other poems include “Mera desh apna desh”, “bharat ki aatm katha”,“ashk”, “Mein bhi ek Insaan hi hoon”, “Meri Behna”, “Meri bitiya”, “Tanhai” etc.

Nazneen says it’s due to the encouragement of her parents that she penned poems and her husband’s support she still continues to do so.
