Saving a number of lives from drowning, Diver Chotu Bhai passed away on Monday. He was suffering from kidney problem from a very long time and two days back after dialysis, his blood pressure was found to be low.

In the year 2011-12, while saving a Gujarati tourist from drowning at Fateh Sagar, Chotu Bhai had got hurt in his stomach. Doctors later informed it to be a fatal kidney problem. Till then, he was undertaking treatment. At that time, the Municipal Committee had helped Chotu Bhai with Rs. 5 Lacs for his medical expenses.

Chotu Bhai had worked for more than 20 years, saving hundreds of lives. He had also helped finding dead bodies drowned in the lakes and rivers. He was working as a Janitor in Municipal Corporation as his diving profession didn’t earn him anything.
