Sharad Vyas working in Mumbai with Mid Day newspaper brought laurels to the city after he received the prestigious RedInk Award, a national award given in the field of Journalism in India by the Mumbai Press Club.

Sharad Vyas won this award for his excellent report on the environment damage caused by factories on the edge of Mumbai. He received the trophy by Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu at the ceremony conducted in Mumbai.

Sharad Vyas is son of senior journalist of Udaipur Nishant Vyas and Asha Vyas and has been working with English daily- Mid Day (Print) as Assistant Senior Editor (Investigation) in Mumbai. He received Rs. 1 Lac cash and appreciation letter during the ceremony.
