-She has been directly appointed as Sub-Inspector of police by the state government.

-Without fearing for her own life, she fought with the armed criminals and did not allow them to succeed in their conspiracy.

Vasundhara Chouhan, the 25 year old Dhaulpur resident, received a special gift from the state government on International Women's Day. She has been directly recruited on the post of Sub-Inspector. Her act of bravery won her this special award.

NCC cadet Vasundhara was travelling by bus on 3rd March. There were 4 police guards in the bus who were taking criminal Lukka serving life sentence from Dhaulpur to Bharatpur after a court hearing. On the way, 5 armed men stopped the bus and entered inside. They had chilli powder with them which they threw at the police and tried to snatch the weapons from them.

One of these miscreants fired a shot from the country pistol which scared the passengers in the bus. Vasundhara and RAC jawan Kamar Singh, without fearing for their own safety, indulged in a bash with the miscreants to prevent them from freeing Lukka. Later the passengers mustered up courage along with the other policemen and took the situation in control. The state government promoted Kamar Singh on the post of Head Constable and honoured Vasundhara with a certificate.

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot decided to give direct appointment to Vasundhara on the post of Sub-Inspector of Police. Vasundhara has been a cadet of NCC and has a “C” certificate and also a degree in Criminology. She also holds Masters Degree in Social Sciences. For the appointment as SI, she now has to fulfill the qualifications under physical efficiency test, medical fitness and character certification under Rajasthan Police Subordinate Service Rules.
