MLSU Botany HOD Dr Vineet Soni receives the Eminent Scientist Award 2025 for major contributions in plant bioenergetics and environmental conservation
Udaipur, Jan 29, 2026 - Dr Vineet Soni, Head of the Department of Botany and a renowned environmental scientist at Mohanlal Sukhadia University (MLSU), Udaipur, has been conferred with the Eminent Scientist Award 2025 by the National Environmental Science Academy, India, for his outstanding contributions in the field of Plant Bioenergetics.
This prestigious award was presented on January 22, 2026, during a national conference held at the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) in Patna.
The award recognises his outstanding research contributions and impactful grassroots initiatives over the past two decades in the fields of plant biotechnology, plant biochemistry and conservation of endangered plant species of Rajasthan.
In recognition of his exceptional scientific contributions at the national and international levels, Dr Soni has also been elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology (UK) along with being part of 14 other reputed scientific institutions worldwide.
His work continues to inspire young researchers and significantly contribute to sustainable environmental conservation and plant bioenergetics research in India.
