World Blood Donors Day observed at RNT Medical College

Today, on the occasion of the World Blood Donors Day, an event was organized in the auditorium of RNT Medical College. The day was organized with the joint efforts of RNT Medical College Pathology Department and RNT Blood Bank. National and State Aids Control Society that observes the day every year, also participated in the observance.

Today, on the occasion of the World Blood Donors Day, an event was organized in the auditorium of RNT Medical College. The day was organized with the joint efforts of RNT Medical College Pathology Department and RNT Blood Bank. National and State Aids Control Society that observes the day every year, also participated in the observance.

In the program today, individuals and NGOs that contributed highest number of blood donations were honored by D.P. Singh, Superintendent of MB Hospital. Cardiology Department HoD S.K. Kaushik, Dr. Chandra Mathur, Dr. Sunita Bhargava and several other Doctors attended the event.

Recipients of Honorary Certificates by Dr. D.P. Singh for maximum number of Blood donations included Ashok Lodha (49 units), Gautam Sakhrecha (48), Amit Diwani (44), Jagat Nagda (23) and Neeraj Shrimali (19).

Anu Vrat Samiti , an NGO, was honored for its efforts in holding Blood Donation camps. Ganesh Danglia and Shabbir Mustafa of the Society were handed over the certificate on behalf of the Samiti.

More than 10 NCC and Scout cadets were also honored at the function for individual blood donations.

Dr. D.P. Singh in his speech said, “Rajasthan is not behind other States of India in terms of Blood Donations; we are very much at par and now the target is to go ahead and exceed the blood donations of other states and be a leading State in this domain.”

All the nursing students of RNT Institution were also present in the program. The information was provided by Kamal Chand Virval of RNT Medical College.
