Yash Gupta glitters in International Physics Olympiad
Yash Gupta, a MDS-Resonance student once again glorified the name of the city at International level by getting selected in International Physics Olympiad’s final stage (stage V).
Yash Gupta, a MDS-Resonance student once again glorified the name of the city at International level by getting selected in International Physics Olympiad’s final stage (stage V).
He is among Top 5 student to represent India at International Level. His practical experiment was best among all the 5 students & got 115 Marks out of 120. The other 4 students are from Bhilai, Hyderabad, Chandigarh and Pune.
This Olympiad is organized by Homi Bhaba center for science education in 5 stages. The total 43 students qualified for in its third stage included Udaipur’s Yash Gupta & Anirudh Sharma.
Presently Yash Gupta is studying in 12th class in integrated program of Resonance and MDS School and preparing for IIT-JEE as well.
The 1st stage of this Olympiad was conducted on 24th November 2012 in Udaipur while the 2nd stage on February 2, 2013 at all HBCSE Centers. From there, 43 students were selected for Orientation Cum Selection Camp (OCSC) conducted in Mumbai, out of which 5 students got selected for International Physics Olympiad. These students will represent India in Copenhagen, Denmark on July 2013.
According to Mr. Arun Shrimali (Centre Manager – Resonance Udaipur) & Mr. Shailendra Somani (Director – MDS School), Yash Gupta has also won Gold Medal in International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) in 2010 & Silver Medal in International Earth Science Olympiad(IESO) in 2011.
Ravi Ranjan (Centre Head & Senior physics Faculty – Resonance) congratulated him for his tremendous performance & gave best wishes for his future endeavors.
