Congress Councilor Ajay Porwal held a press conference today at Lake City Press Club in which he denied Exec Engineer Shishirkant Varsnay’s charges that Porwal is threatening him (Varshnay) for life.

Porwal alleged that Executive Engineers, Asst Engineers and Junior Engineers of Municipal Council are working as an agent of the BJP. Defending allegations against him, he said, “All the BJP leaders are politically against me as I have complained against their corrupt practices in the Anti Corruption Bureau”.

Porwal also said, “If Varshnay has a recorded telephonic conversation in which I have threatened him, then he must expose it in front of the public.” He said that this is a conspiracy against him and BJP leaders want to put him behind bars to satisfy their ego.

He gave several excuses on the controversy between him and Varshnay but the absence of congress councilors in the conference with him raised many questions.
