Anybody caught for corruption should be jailed: Lalit K ChaturvediA press conference was held today by BJP leader Lalit Kishore Chaturvedi on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Jai Prakash Narayan who protested against the Indira Gandhi government in the 70’s, popularly known as JP Andolan or Total Revolution.

Addressing the media personnel, Chaturvedi said that present circumstances are the same as were in those times, the Central and the State Government failed in every aspect, whether it is about scams which includes, Olympic Scam of Rs. 76 thousand crore, 2G spectrum scam of Rs. 1 lac 75 thousand crore, or the top most Coal Scam of Rs. 1 lac 86 thousand crore.

Inflation on the other hand is a big problem which everyone is facing. Chaturvedi said, “the Prime-minister Manmohan Singh should resign taking the aforesaid issues as his personal responsibility. Common people wants that corrupt congress government should give way”.

Chaturvedi stated, “In the same context BJP is organizing Lok Jan Jagran Abhiyan with the slogan Congress Hatao Desh Bachao at every panchayat level in the State, from 11 -20th this month, in which through Protest, demonstration, speech and seminars, we will awake the common people to throw the corrupt congress government out of power”.

On the question of corruption in their own party, Chaturvedi said, “The allegations are very easy to put on any one, but I agree that anybody who has been caught and his conviction has been proved must go to jail”.
