Arjun Lal Meena Registers Huge Win
Results of recently held Lok Sabha Election 2014 were announced today, where BJP contender Arjun Lal Meena registered a comprehensive win, with a historic vote margin of more than 2 lakh votes against Raghuveer Singh Meena of Congress.
Results of recently held Lok Sabha Election 2014 were announced today, where BJP contender Arjun Lal Meena registered a comprehensive win, with a historic vote margin of more than 2 lakh votes against Raghuveer Singh Meena of Congress.
Ashutosh Pednekar, District Returning Officer, Udaipur informed that out of 11,93,815 total casted votes, Arjun Lal Meena (BJP) secured 6,60,373 votes, against which Raghuveer Meena (Congress Party) received 4,23,743 votes, hence falling short by 2,36,630 votes.
Pednekar added that in voting held across district, more than 26 thousand votes were of NOTA (None of The Above), while 613 votes were casted wrong and was declined. The counting continued over 25 rounds for constituency area of Udaipur.
Pednekar also informed that District stood first in declaring vote counts across state. Counting of votes started from 8 am at Meera Girls College. Special arrangements were made for speedy exchange of results, where they had established LAN connections among computers and regular announcements through loud speaker.
