Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev proposed a hunger strike against corruption from today. After a failure talk between the Union Minister Kapil Sibbal and Subodh Kant with Ramdev Baba over the proposal which did not satisfy Baba’s demand. Since they gave a written answer on the issue, baba insisted on fast till death protest against the government until govt. fulfilled their demands.

According to Baba Ramdev this fight is for those Crores of Indians who sleep hungry every night and is quite a challenging fight as they have to face strong people. He added that this campaign was not inclined to any political party or has any communal agenda.

Meanwhile this campaign which is carried in Ramlila ground decked up with a pandal was accompanied with Air conditioners, coolers, ceiling fans, LCD screens and HI-FI sound systems and hundreds of security personnel and CCTVs.

The Demands Of Baba Ramdev

1. Ordinance declaring accounts of Indians in Tax havens as National Property.

2. Stashing away black money in tax havens to be declared national crime.

3. Lifetime imprisonment and death penalty for the people who indulge in corruption.

4. Enactment of a strong lokpal proposed by Anna Hazare’s team.

5. Setting up of fast track courts in all states to deal specially with corruption.

6. Removal of high denomination currency notes (Rs.500 & Rs.1000) from the economy.

7. Curriculum of professional courses (engineering, medical, agriculture) in native Indian languages.

8. Direct election of PM for greater political stability.

9. Enactment of a strong public service delivery guarantee act.

10. Repeal of land acquisition act.

Adding to this Baba Ramdev has warned the government that if they provoke him in a violent way then they would intrun would react violently. Now the government are hoping that this protest would call off as early as Sunday but Baba ramdev seems to be on the stronger side with his supporters and would prove to be a shackle for them.
