Taking a call against the lethargic and unresponsive behavior of the Rajasthan State Government towards the development of farming and fertilizing sectors, a Kisan Maha Panchayat has been called on 26th February, 2012 in Jaipur. Thousands of farmers across the state are expected to join this mass meeting.

BJP called Kisan Mahapanchayat in RajasthanBJP leader Rampal Jat gave this information in a press conference held today in the city. Jat, while expressing his sheer frustration over the ineffectiveness of the current state government, has blamed the Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and his team for neglecting farmers and their problems in the state.

While briefing the media, Rampal Jat said, “In 3 years the government has not taken any proper measures for farming and providing aids like fertilizers, manure, pesticides and electricity up to the required minimum.”

He estimated a Rs. 3,964crore loss for farmers last year due to lack of support by the government in selling cereals at minimum price in the market.

“Due to rates of cereals being kept lower than expected rate for farmers this year also, the farmers are facing a huge lose”, said the BJP leader Rampal Jat.
