The largely awaited victory rally of the newly elected University President, Pankaj Borana finally took place today at 11am when the participants gathered at Shastri Circle.

Pramod Samar, Pradesh Mantri, BJP, flagged off the rally formally at Town Hall.  Chairman of the Municipal Council, Rajni Dangi also gave her best wishes to Borana at the Town Hall gate.

Pankaj took the blessings of his parents before boarding the jeep to start the rally.  His mother blessed him by applying Tilak on his forehead, which is considered as lucky according to Hindu mythology.

Many ABVP activists joined the vehicle rally along with slogans of their favorite student leader.  High police security was in place to protect the rally and ensure law and order.

Many senior leaders of ABVP as well as the Bhartiya Janta Party were present on the occasion.
