CM Unveils Govind Guru’s Memorial at Mangarh
Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, reached Udaipur’s Dabok Airport to proceed on the connecting journey to Banswara’s Mangarh, to unveil the monument of freedom fighter Govind Guru, in a grand function held today.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, reached Udaipur’s Dabok Airport to proceed on the connecting journey to Banswara’s Mangarh, to unveil the monument of freedom fighter Govind Guru, in a grand function held today.
At Mangarh, Gehlot was welcomed by Mahendrajeet Singh Malviya State Tribal Minister, Dr. Dayaram Parmar, Tarachand Bhaora MP, Arjun Bamniya MLA, Kanta Bhil MLA, Dr. Subodh Agrawal Divisional Commissioner, T.C. Damor, I.G., Kunj Bihari Gupta Banswara Collector and other government officials and local leaders.
CM then reached Nanakram Dhuni and paid homage to the 1500 tribal martyrs, he also visited a blood donation camp by MNAREGA workers. CM planted a “Kalp Vraksh” at the Dhuni premises and also laid foundation of the Forest Post and Guest House in accordance with his budget declaration.
CM inaugurated the centenary year and the Memorial and unveiled the statue of Govind Guru who was the leader of the tribal and sacrificed his life fighting for Independence against the British Rule, nearly hundred years ago. Mangarh is also known as, Jalianwala Bagh of Rajasthan.
Large number of people from Udaipur, Dungarpur, Banswara, Rajsamand and Gujarat reached to witness the centenary function.
Thereafter, CM reached Dewas to inspect the ongoing water project. Gehlot also visited Chief Minister’s BPL House and inaugurated Rajiv Gandhi Seva Kendra.
