Combined Efforts needed for the upliftment of Minorities: Mahir Azad

Mahir Azad, Chairman of Rajasthan State Minorities Commission, today in a meeting with the District Administrative officials at the District Headquarters told that, there is a need for combined efforts from all the government departments for equitable development and upliftment of the poor, backward and minority section of the society and to enjoin them to the developing main stream.

Mahir Azad, Chairman of Rajasthan State Minorities Commission, today in a meeting with the District Administrative officials at the District Headquarters told that, there is a need for combined efforts from all the government departments for equitable development and upliftment of the poor, backward and minority section of the society and to enjoin them to the developing main stream.

Azad was addressing the officials on the 15 point program for minorities; he said that, beneficiary schemes of the Central and State Government like, housing, scholarship, loans etc. must be implemented in its entirety on a timely basis. The officials of concerned department must take implementation of these schemes as their personal responsibility.

Azad said that according to the proportion of the population the percentage of minorities must be decided and the benefits must be provided accordingly.

He also said, “The loans up to 2 lacs can be processed by the Minorities Welfare Officer and could be sanctioned by Chief Acting Officer at the District level”. He added that now it is necessary that 15% of the total loans given by the Nationalized Banks must be given to the minorities.

Azad instructed the lead banking officials that they must take the applications of the loans from minorities on priority, so that loans of this section of society could be sanctioned easily.

He also instructed the Commissioner of Municipal Corporation to sanction orders for 9 new “Madarsas

District Collector, Vikas Sitaram Bhale assured the Chairman to implement the Minorities’ Beneficiary schemes soon.

In this meeting, members of the 15 point program, Aziz Khan, Faiyaz Hussain, D. I. Khan, Chief Acting Officer Abrar Ahmed, Commissioner of Municipal Council Satya Narayan Acharya, Deputy Director of Women & Child Development Shweta Fagediya, Additional S. P. Tejraj Singh, District Industries Centre Managing Director Aruna Sharma, Deputy Director Social Justice and Empowerment Department Mandata Singh, Lead Banking Officer O. P. Mutha and members of different government departments were present.
