Supporting the local campaign for Housing Rights, Communist Leader Brinda Karat addressed a mass gathering outside collectorate today. During her address, Karat accused all top political parties for rejecting the rights of farmers and tribal people.

Karat said, “Governments of BJP and Congress are snatching land from farmers and distributing among industrialists who fund them for elections and the same industrialists and business houses use politicians to amend policies according to their need.”

While targeting BJP and Narendra Modi, Brinda Karat said, “They are talking about bringing back all the black money of India but they themselves favor people who own black money.”

Karat added, “The biggest victim of being homeless is a woman because her life is insecure without a house. The campaign which started from Udaipur is going to spread all over Rajasthan and the government will have to fulfill their demands.”

B. L Singhvi, district secretary of Communist Party (Marxist), Rajesh Singhvi, local corporator, Mohanlal Khokhawat etc. were present on the stage.

Hundreds of slum dwellers holding the communist flags in their hands supported the cause.

Brinda Karat and other senior leaders met District Collector and presented their concern. The collector has assured to take all possible action to resolve the problems.
