Vasundhara Raje and Sushma Swaraj should give their resignations immediately as both are apparently supporting accused absconding IPL pioneer Lalit Modi, said Gurudas Kamat, General Secretary of All India Congress Committee.
Kamat was addressing a gathering at Udaipur on 17th June and during his speech also said that AICC is organising District Level Meetings across India and for this committee members are visiting various places and educating people about the fake promises made by the ruling party only for the sake of votes.
In his speech, Kamat, taking aim at the ruling party said that Vasundhara Raje and Swaraj supported Lalit Modi in getting his travel documents and also asked the British authorities not to disclose it to any of the Indian authorities. Their decision of supporting an accused of illegal betting and money laundering is not an appreciated and is also against the law.
Kamat also said that being Prime Minsiter of the country Narendra Modi should also react on the issue but he has maintained an aloof silence on the matter over the last 4 days. On this occasion Chief of AICC, Sachin Pilot said that a resolution was passed during the meeting at Udaipur that not only AICC but all other Associations of Congress will protest against both Raje and Swaraj for supporting Lalit Modi in getting away.
