Congress outdo BJP in election expenditure
Four days back, when the expenses of all political parties was declared, initially Congress was following BJP in terms of expenditure in election campaign. However, now it is leading the chart with more than Rs.7 Lac of investment.
Four days back, when the expenses of all political parties was declared, initially Congress was following BJP in terms of expenditure in election campaign. However, now it is leading the chart with more than Rs.7 Lac of investment.
Information was made public in a meeting held at Zila Parishad today which was headed by Kailash Choudhary, Expenditure head, Election Commission of India.
According to the official press release, the Expenditure officer said, “During the investigation, we found that few contestants did direct cash transaction instead of banking. Such transactions could go unnoticed by Election Commission. The concerned contestants are given notice about their transactions.”
BJP has declared their expenditure Rs.7,24,675 while Congress has spend Rs.7,79,667. Other parties including AAP Rs. 98,629, Socialist Party of India Rs.58,845, Bahujan Mukti Party Rs.58,600, Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) Rs.51,285, Bahujan Samaj Party Rs.26,765 and Communist Party of India Rs.84,550 spend on several election campaigns.
