Congress Rebel U-turns from ward elections
Congress leaders Trilok Purbia Ex- MLA and other senior leaders were seen to be quite satisfied at the ADM (City) office today after convincing Jaji Meghwal, a rebel from the Congress party to take his nomination back from the Council Elections in Ward no. 2. Pramod Khabya, a candidate from the Congress party told that one name has been taken back and the talks are going on to convince the other one too.
UPDATE: Yaseen Pathan, ADM (City) informed that Mohd. Sidiqi and Badri Parihar have also taken their nominations back from the Elections of Ward No. 2. As of now, there are only 5 candidates left for the electoral seat.

Remember that there were eight candidates for the election, but after Jaji Meghwal having taken his name back today morning, only seven are left in the contest.
BJP as well as the Congress is looking for a straight fight to avoid division of votes, which can change the result even in an Independent candidates favor.
