District Congress Committees (City and Rural) organized several programs to commemorate the death anniversary of late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi who died on 31^st Oct, 1986.

Subsequently Vallabhbhai Patel was also remembered as the day marks the birth anniversary of “Iron Man” and one of the founding fathers of Republic of India.

Congress party workers gathered at the residence of Neelima Sukhadia, president district congress and commemorated both leaders of the country.

Lal Singh Jhala, president of District Congress (rural) with District Head Madhu Mehta, Trilok Purbia and other congress leaders were present at a ceremony conducted at the rural congress party office at Surajpol.

Indira Gandhi and Vallabhbhai Patel were remembered, congress leaders gave speech regarding the characteristics and achievements of both leaders.
