Akhil Bhartiya Vidhyarti Parishad announced its list of works-to-do if they win the election while Democratic Students Society (DSS) held a musical event followed by lunch at Maha laxmi Vatika.
ABVP Declares Manifesto
In a press conference held today, ABVP declared their manifesto ahead of the University elections. The conference was held at hotel Royal Inn and the manifesto was read and discussed with the media personnel.
Major focus was on necessities of students that had been neglected since past 4 years.
Pankaj Borana, University candidate for ABVP, said, “After winning, we will take on certain issues of utmost gravity that have been long pending. This includes regulation of buses from University gate to various major areas and outskirts of the Udaipur city”.
Issues related to student rights that were discussed included: Wi-Fi connectivity in campus, representation of one student in University Board of Management, active governance of placement cell and organization of placement fairs and shifting the Central Student Union’s office from Commerce College to University Admin block.
Present on the occasion, Virendra Singh Khinchi, former-Vice President, MLSU, said, “ABVP has always been pushing for the betterment and progress of student rights and only deserving candidate is chosen to represent the organization. One should neither provoke nor support nepotism.”
DSS : Musical Event and lunch program
Democratic Student Society (DSS) held a musical event and lunch today at Mahalakshmi Vatika, Bohra Ganesh ji.
The aim was to entertain and gather the attention of the student voters. Crowd cheered live performance by Ashok Gandharva (X factor fame) and the anchoring of Pradeep Pandey (actor).
On the occasion, Ajitesh Rai, candidate for University President (DSS), addressed the students present and solicited there vote and support for DSS at University as well as college level.
Later, Dilip Singh Sisodiya, President, DSS, tried to convince students for their vote and support and delivered the vote of thanks for making the event a big hit.
