In a public statement issued by AIIMS today, the doctors said that Vajpayee seems to be responding to treatment and is an on injectionable antibiotics. All vital parameters are also stable. The doctors also said that the former PM will be retained in hospital till his infection is under control

 
Former PM Vajpayee condition improves to “stable”

Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee is in recovery mode, as his health condition improves from critical to stable.

In a public statement issued by AIIMS today, the doctors said that Vajpayee seems to be responding to treatment and is an on injectionable antibiotics. All vital parameters are also stable. The doctors also said that the former PM will be retained in hospital till his infection is under control.

During the same hours yesterday, his sole kidney and lung were performing at their lowest capacity and there was an imminent fear of total collapse.

Dr Randeep Gulera, under whom the former PM is being treated for the last 15 years, will be supervising the former premiers condition during his stay at AIIMS.

Earlier, Vajpayee, who is a diabetic and has only one working kidney, suffered from a stroke in 2009, which affected his cognitive abilities and later he also develped dementia.
