Rajasthan’s chief minister Ashok Gehlot on the occasion of his 61st birthday gifted a sum of 50 crores in the name of ‘Mohan Lal Sukhadia Water Project'. The estimated completion of Dewas water project (Phase 2) would be july 2012.

 
Rajasthan’s chief minister Ashok Gehlot on the occasion of his 61 st birthday gifted a sum of 50 crores in the name of ‘Mohan Lal Sukhadia Water Project’. The estimated completion of Dewas water project (Phase 2) would be  july 2012.  It is the biggest gift from the Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot while he was celebrating his 61 st birthday in Udaipur. Gehlot’s Birthday Bash! – Dewas Project is now Mohan Lal Sukhadia Water Project In addition to this, a sum of Rs. 50 crores was granted to the project. Apart from that the hostel for tribal was inaugurated   by CM Ashok Gehlot & Union cabinet minister of transport & highway Dr. C.P.Joshi. This made the day historical for both Udaipur and dewas. This phase-4 water project goaled to supply water to the lakes of Udaipur. It included digging of tunnel for a special pipeline. It was kick started by Late Mohan Lal Sukhadia. At present a company –named ‘Coastal projects’ would be undertaking Dewas water project. Who was present in Dewas with Ashok Gehlot today? The program flourished with the presence of Ashok Gehlot, on the very next day of his birthday. He addressed Dewas, visited the Dewas phase-2 site, took brief of every detail, discussed 3 rd & 4 th phase of water project and made few announcements.He was assisted by Dr.C.P.Joshi (Union cabinet minister of transport & highway), Raghuveer Meena (MP, Udaipur), Mangi lal Garasia (Youth & Sports minister, Rajasthan), Sajjan Katara (MLA, Udaipur rural ST) & Bhanwri Devi (Sarpanch of Dewas). As it was an important project of need so it had a lot of gathering  public, police & press were together   present . Announcements in Dewas. Gehlot’s Birthday Bash! – Dewas Project is now Mohan Lal Sukhadia Water Project There were few major announcements by CM in Dewas, some were related to water projects & while others were related to other areas of betterment of general mass. The few announcements were:
  1. Dewas water project would be named ‘Mohan lal Sukhadia Water Project’ as it was pioneered by Mohan lal Sukhadia.
  2. 50 crores for the remaining work of Phase 2 Dewas water project.
  3. The remaining amount of 56 crores which is required estimated cost of further completion would be given whenever needed.
  4. The probable date of the completion of Phase 2 Dewas Project would be  july 2012.
  5. Hostel for tribal girls in Dewas.
  6. TheAnnouncement of a primary health centre for tribals.
Discussions & Announcement talks in Dewas. Mr. Gehlot not only observed and got brief of Dewas phase 2 site but also personally visited, enquired & discussed every iota of detail with the  site engineers. He also ordered for the preparation of report for Phase 3 & 4 for water project. Dr. C.P.Joshi also visited the site. While addressing to public, CM said that  ‘Dewas water project’s proposed budget was approax 138 crores, which has  increased due to various increased costs and tenders and reached 379 crores & around 250 crores is already been provided. Here I am giving 50 crores for the further development of this water project which will be completed in july 2012’ When Sajjan Katara proposed some plans for medical facilities for tribal in speech, CM quickly announced the establishment plan of Primary health centre for tribal. C.P Joshi was also gave with the proposal of Sajjan Katara. Everyone emphasized and encouraged the promotion of   girl’s education in the tribal areas. Moreover it was declared that a school shall also soon be opened for the tribal. While addressing to general mass, CM said that the maximum production of electricity would be by solar energy in Rajasthan, since it is the most naturally available resource. Ashok Gehlot also assured a better water supply, transport and commutation facilities in tribal and rural areas of Rajasthan. Ashok Gehlot Met Narayan Tomer (dewas tunnel mishap victim) Gehlot’s Birthday Bash! – Dewas Project is now Mohan Lal Sukhadia Water Project Narayan Tomer, a dewas mine worker who was trapped in a tunnel for 5 days (from jan 13- jan18 2011) was awarded with Rs. 51000/- cash by Ashok Gehlot from Chief Minister Relief Fund. He praised Narayan’s courage and also admires the effort of rescue team who successfully took out Narayan from blocked tunnel. CM in Kotra on his birthday-Few announcement & discussions. Ashok Gehlot celebrated his birthday on 3 rd April in tribal belt of Kotra yesterday and spent time listening & discussing the problems of general mass. He announced allotment of 7 crores for the better facilitation to each legislative assembly. He also revealed that many plans are being made in order to soothe water crisis. Rajasthan CM expressed that roads which connect villages need to be renewed and many developments are yet to be done in the same respect. To keep a check over the increasing costs of food products, CM assured the opening of civil supply corporation, which would provide equal allotment of basic ration stuff to all without any sort of discrimination. In order to mingle up with the crowd and to reach the roots of people’s heart, CM had tea with the villagers in a cup made-up of leaves.
