— Prof. Gourav Vallabh (@GouravVallabh) April 4, 2024
Gourav Vallabh, who was the main face of the Congress in Udaipur a few months ago resigned from the party earlier on Thursday morning saying that he has not been able to raise anti-Sanatan slogans or abuse the wealth creators and is uncomfortable with the "direction that the party is moving forward".
"These days, the party is moving forward in the wrong direction. On one hand, we talk about the caste-based census, while on the other hand, there is a perception of being against the Sampurn Hindu Samaj (entire Hindu society). This approach is giving the public a misleading message that the party is supportive only of a particular religious group. This goes against the fundamental principles of the Congress party" - Gourav Vallabh
In his resignation letter, Gourav alleged that the party's ground level has completely broken down and is not in sync with the aspirations of new India. In these circumstances, he alleged that the party will neither come to power, nor play the role of a strong opposition, as the bridging of the gap between grassroot workers and senior leaders is becoming more difficult.
