Judicial Bench of Rajasthan High Court, comprising of High Court Judges Gopalkrishna Vyas and JR Mulchandani have disposed off the Habeas corpus petition filed by Hardik Patel, who, on the orders of Gujarat High Court is temporarily residing in Udaipur.
This has provided interim relief to Patel, who has been allowed to move about freely within the city limits of Udaipur, provided he gives a 24hr notice to the Police prior to leaving the residence where he is staying. Placing him under house arrest has been nullified by the Bench. In case he plans to move out of Udaipur, Patel must seek permission from the Gujarat High Court.
