To express his resentment, Meena started walking from the City Railway Station to the office of the Divisional Commissioner at Mohta Park where he held a meeting with Dr. Subodh Kumar, Divisional Commissioner and discussed the police action at Kherwada, which Subodh Kumar clearly denied, saying that there was no such action taken by the police.

According to sources, Kirori Lal Meena arrived in Udaipur on the night of 17th March and stayed at Hotel Kajri of RTDC where he also conducted a casual press meet on 18th morning and discussed his planned visit to the Bichiwada tribal belt, to meet the tribals who were agitating against the terms of TAT (Teacher’s Aptitude Test).

“My only motive is to meet the tribals and share their problems. I have already put forward my 46 demands in front of the state government in my last visit to Udaipur a year back, but not a single demand saw positive action,” said Meena while talking to reporters.

While Meena, with his bunch of supporters was on his way to Bichiwada, he was detained by the police at Kherwada and taken back to Udaipur in the evening. Meena was directly taken to the railway station where he was scheduled to board a train to Delhi.
