Bhartiya Janta Party announced its contestant from Udaipur seat for the upcoming Lok Sabha Election 2014. Arjun Meena, who belongs to a small village near Kherwara will contest for the post of Member of Parliament.

Meena was MLA from Salumber in 2004 and since then was active in the party. According to sources, Arjun Meena was highly expected to be nominated by higher BJP leaders.

There are around 80000 youth voters from Udaipur. Since Meena is a young contestant, he might get the benefit of age.

While talking to UT, Meena said, “The door to door campaign has already started and I will file my nomination on 24^th March.”

On the other side, CPI’s contestant Meghraj Sawar will also file his nomination on 24^th.
