The date schedule for Lok Sabha elections has been announced by the Election Commission today. The Polls, which will begin on 19 April, will be held in 7 phases across the country, where 96.8 Crore Eligible voters will exercise their franchise, the largest in the history of democracy globally. The counting of the votes will begin on 4 June.
Lok Sabha Elections in Rajasthan will be held in two phases, one on 19 April and the other on 26 April. Tripura, Manipur and Karnataka are the other three states where polls will be held in two phases. Udaipur and other districts in the Mewar Belt (Bhilwara, Banswara, Dungarpur, Chittorgarh, Rajsamand) along with Ajmer, Tonk, Sawai Madhopur, Pali, Jodhpur, Barmer, Jalore, Kota and Jhalawar-Baran will go to polls on 26 April. Alwar, Bharatpur, Bikaner, Churu, Dausa, Ganganagar, Jaipur, Jaipur Rural, Jhunjhunu, Karauli-Dholpur, Nagaur, Sikar will go to polls on 19 April.
The notification for the districts going to poll on 19 April will be on 20 March, the last date for filing nominations will be 27 March. The notification for districts going to poll on 26 April will be on 28 March, the last date for filing nominations will be 4 April.

Andaman & Nicobar, Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Dadra Nagar Haveli, Delhi, Goa, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Kerala, Ladakh, Lakshwadeep, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Puducherry, Punjab, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttarakhand.
Three Phase Polling States:
Assam, Chhatisgarh
Four Phase Polling States:
Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Odisha
Five Phase Polling States:
Jammu & Kashmir, Maharashtra
Six Phase Polling States:
Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal
