Choice of some of the BJP’s leaders, self-declared PM in waiting, Narendra Modi today ousted congress party’s hopes to crush the Modi factor.

The BJP’s hat-trick, in retaining power in Gujarat, urged people to speculate on Modi becoming the party’s PM candidate, in the next Lok Sabha elections. Modi, had already given the credit of win to the issue of development, on which he has proven himself, once again.

On the other hand Congress won the Elections in Himanchal.

Results:

Gujarat– BJP wins 115 seats; Hat-trick for Modi; Congress wins 61 seats (6:50 p.m.)

Himachal Pradesh– Congress gets absolute majority, wins 36 seats; BJP wins 26, others 4

In Udaipur’s BJP party workers celebrated Modi’s win by distributing sweets amongst the workers. Vice-versa celebrations were conducted for Udaipur congress on Himanchal Pradesh win.
