Udaipur MP Arjun Lal Meena on Wednesday strongly urged the government to commence the passport service center at Udaipur district.
According to Meena, Udaipur city is a center point of 6 other districts including Dungarpur, Banswara, Pratapgarh, Chittorgarh and Rajsamand with Jawar Mines and as such the need for passport office remains a priority.
In Udaipur district, 35000, 27000 and 25000 passports were made in 2014, 2013 and year 2012, respectively. It is to consider that in June, the central government had approved the opening up of passport office in Udaipur which has been long delayed.
He emphasized that the building dedicated for the office has been selected by Nagar Nigam. Meena appealed to send over the technical team to Udaipur to commence the working of the office soon.
