A major breakthrough in the district congress came today when Mrs. Neelima Sukhadia and Mr. Lal Singh Jhala both from Udaipur were sworn in as president s of congress party – district and rural –respectively.

Their appointment came out at a party meeting held at Jaipur wherein appointment of 31 district presidents and 387 block presidents also took place- with 8 district presidents yet to be appointed.

Congress party election commissioner Mr Jagannath Patnayak led the appointing body.

Both the appointed presidents (district and rural) were joyously welcomed where party members greeted and congratulated them by offering them with garlands.

Neelima Sukhadia (in photo above) wife of Mr. Dilip Sukhadia and daughter in law of late chief minister Mohan Lal Sukhadia is an active congress party worker since long.  While talking to UT reporter at her residence today, Mrs. Sukhadia vehemently opposed the party in opposition in regard to their day in day out criticism against the rising prices.

Lal Singh Jhala (in photo above) has had earlier held the post of vice president of Pradesh Kisaan Congress. Considered young and innovative at his thinking and perception; as per the sources Mr Lal Singh Jhala might have been appointed the rural president due to his strong footmark in the rural areas nearby the city.
