In addition to the demonstration, a memorandum was issued to the District Collector in the name of the President of India to decrease the cost of these commodities to their original price before this hike.

According to the submitted memorandum, the three parties conducting the demonstration stated that UPA-II promised during the election that “the hand of the Congress will always be the people.” But it seems that the government is more interested in befriending huge corporate houses to the point that it seems like “the hand of the Congress is strangling the population”, according to the party members.

The memorandum also mentioned the recent scandals that have plagued the nation and looted lakhs of crores of rupees from the country such as the Commonwealth Games scam, the 2G scam as well as the KG Basin scam.

The agitations of Baba Ramdev was also mentioned when the demonstrators argued that the government is responding with force to the persons who want to bring the responsible officials to justice.
