Congress leader from Udaipur, Raghuveer Singh Meena has been consecutively elected second time for the Lok Sabha Election candidate from Udaipur. His name was announced on Thursday evening at congress headquarters in New Delhi.

Meena was Member of Parliament before the Code of Conduct came in effect few days ago, which voids all current posts of MPs.
While talking to the local media, Meena expressed his gratitude towards senior congress leaders who elected his name. “I will try my best to work up to the expectations and will definitely win the elections again.”
Other party workers also welcomed Meena’s selection. Dinesh Shrimali, local corporator said, “Raghuveer Singh Meena is in Delhi at present. The district committee will hold block level meeting and will plan out the election campaign.”
Lal Singh Jhala, President, Dehat Zila Congress also welcomed the announcement and said, “The party workers will not repeat the mistakes done in Vidhan Sabha Elections due to which Congress faced defeat.”
On the other hand, Bhartiya Janta Party is expected to declare their candidates on 17th or 18th March. According to sources, Babulal kharari, Chunnilal Garasia, Arjun Meena, Narendra Meena and Harda Meena are considered to be potential BJP candidates.
