As elections are approaching near, politicians are turning towards Social Media. However, with its great networking potential, social media could also turn out as a threat if misused.

With an objective to teach party workers about online social networking, Rajasthan Congress Committee is hosting a state level workshop on social media where congress activists and leaders will learn useful tips for using social media sites like Facebook and Twitter.

The workshop will be inaugurated by Ajay Makan, Chief Secretary while Ashok Gehlot, Chief minister of Rajasthan will be the keynote speaker of the workshop. Gehlot is said to be very social media friendly and encourages new media technologies.

Dr. Chandrabhan will lead the program.

From Election campaigning to gathering the individual fan following, politicians are looking busier on Facebook than the Aam Sabha. And what’s wrong in that; since the common man is available more on Facebook via mobile or computer, it is easy to reach maximum people in lesser time.
