In a media briefing held on October 15, the Election Commission of India announced the Election Dates for 48 Assembly Constituencies along with 2 Parliamentary Constituencies.
Among the 48 Assembly Constituencies, 7 are in Rajasthan. Accordingly the Assembly Elections on the seats of Salumber, Chaurasi, Dausa, Deoli-Uniyara, Jhunjhunu, Ramgarh and Khinvsaar will be held on 13 November. The counting will take place on November 23 and the results will be announced on the same day.
The Parliamentary Consituency of Wayanad in Kerala and Nanded in Maharashtra will go to polls on November 20.
Why Assembly Elections in Rajasthan?
MLA from Chaurasi Rajkumar Roat, MLA from Dausa Murari Lal Meena, MLA from Jhunjhunu Brijendra Ola, MLA from Khinvsar Hanuman Beniwal are now MPs. Whereas Salumbhar MLA Amritlal Meena and Ramgarh MLA Zuber Khan had passed away.
