Bhartiya Janta Party has recorded historical win in Udaipur district. BJP won 6 out of 8 seats along with one independent and one congress seat.

BJP’s Gulab Chand Kataria significantly conquered with 24608 votes whereas Phool Singh Meena won from Udaipur (Rural) by 13764 votes.

Gogunda- The onetime stronghold of Congress witnessed the fall with Prataplal Bheel defeating Mangilal Garasiya with the close margin of 3345 votes.

Randheer Singh Bhindar successfully showed his strength and registered his spectacular win from Vallabhnagar seat. Bhindar who stood independent won with the margin of 13167 votes. He is also the only independent candidate to win.

BJP continued its triumph in other three seats of Salumber, Kherwada and Mavli as Amritlal, Nanalal Ahari and Dalichand Dangi won their seats respectively.

Heeralal Darangi, the only congress candidate won from Jhadol seat. Heeralal won by the margin of 4684 votes.

BJP also lodged its win in the nearby areas of Udaipur viz. Rajsamand, Nathdwara, Chittorgarh and Dungerpur.

BJP has received massive support in Rajasthan with victory on 161 out of 199 seats, whereas Congress received 21 seats.
