State Congress President inaugurates Control Room for 'Maha-Rally'

Dr. Chandrabhan, President of Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee (RPCC) inaugurated a control room at the Congress Office Jaipur today for effective management of preparations of Congress Party Mass Rally at Ramlila Maidan, New Delhi.

According to Dr. Archana Sharma (Secretary, RPCC), a nine member committee will co-ordinate with district Congress leaders to manage arrangements for the rally.

As the city Congress executive committee has been dissolved, Nilima Sukhadia seems to be under high pressure to pull out large number of volunteers for the rally, besides this, her statement that ‘congress workers have to go in the rally by their own means’ has created confusion among the congress party workers.

Some of the congress workers, on condition of anonymity, said that, if a city president asks workers to go in the rally by their own means, then the statement is very surprising, they said that party has funds for such programs.

Nilima Sukhadia denied the controversial statement and said, “I didn’t mean to say that workers have to go by arranging their own means, I was trying to say that financially sound party workers can support and arrange funds for participating in the rally”.

Lal Singh Jhala, Congress President (Rural) said that we are preparing for the best and it is expected that we will take more workers than the given target.

R. R. Tiwari, In-charge Udaipur, said that our first priority is the successful organization of the “Maharally” at Ramlila Maidain then only the party state high command will decide to appoint the Udaipur City Executive Committee. He also said that it is expected that we will resolve the issue before Deepawali.
