Gulab Chand Kataria, who was handling the Ministry of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj has now become Home Minister of Rajasthan.

The announcement was made today by CM Vasundhra Raje’s government which is undergoing expansion of its cabinet. The government added 15 new ministers yesterday in Jaipur and the oath taking ceremony was also conducted.

Rajsamand MLA Kiran Maheshwari also became cabinet minister while Jeetmal Khant became state minister.

BJP Supporters of Udaipur celebrated the occasion by bursting fire crackers and distributing sweets. BJP leader Tanveer Singh Krishnavat informed, “Security, law and order of the state will be strengthened under Kataria’s leadership.” Krishnavat also congratulated Kiran Maheshwari and Jeetmal Khant.

Gulab Chand Kataria was Home Minister of Rajasthan from year 2004-08 under BJP government.
