The effigies of BJP Minister Babulal Kharadi and BJP MP Mannalal Rawat of Udaipur were set on fire by tribal organizations as a form of protest. The tribal community and their affiliated organizations gathered at the Udaipur Collectorate on Thursday, October 10, to voice their opposition to the statements made by Babulal Kharadi and the Udaipur BJP MP Rawat. During the protest, the Minister and MP's effigies were burned, and there were chants denouncing them, coupled with a stern warning against distorting the tribal history of the region.
Members of the community expressed their belief on Minister Kharadi's labeling Rana Punja as a Solanki Rajput. They called it an attempt to create discord between the Bhils and the Rajputs. They emphasized that the Bhils have historically stood alongside Maharana Pratap and fought alongside him, which led to his recognition as Veer Shiromani in Mewar. However, they stated that contemporary presentations of history are misleading.
Tribal leader Amit Kharadi directed his criticism at Udaipur BJP MP Mannalal Rawat, accusing him of misrepresenting the history of Mangarh Dham. He asserted that MP Rawat is attempting to discredit the historical reference to Bhil Pradesh, aiming to have it expunged from records. Amit Kharadi further highlighted the consistent pattern of BJP MPs making derogatory statements about tribals, generating widespread anger within society.
