Udaipur Official to represent International Seminar on Labours

The national organizing secretary of INTUC (Indian National Trade Union Congress) Jagdish Raj Shrimali will be the organization representative in a two day National Training Programme & Seminar on Labour’s Problem & Development organized by the International Labour Organization (I.L.O) at New Delhi’s Indian Habitat Center started from 28th June till 29th June 2011.

 

The national organizing secretary of INTUC (Indian National Trade Union Congress) Jagdish Raj Shrimali will be the organization representative in a two day National Training Programme & Seminar on Labour’s Problem & Development organized by the International Labour Organization (I.L.O) at New Delhi’s Indian Habitat Center started from 28th June till 29th June 2011.

Udaipur Official to represent International Seminar on LaboursI.L.O is the international body which represents the workers and labourers around the world.

Mr. Shrimali is expected to raise several issues that are faced by labourers, particularly those who are daily wage workers and are from a poor financial background. He will also speak on the sensitive and worrisome issue of how HIV is spreading among the particular community of labourers focusing on the common reasons of this trend and how it can be overcome.

The other subject which is likely to be discussed by Mr. Shrimali is the rising unemployment that can be seen throughout the world.

Basically belonging to Udaipur, Shrimali has also participated in various seminars and workshops both on both national and global levels. He also represented India at the World Labour Seminar (Youth) in 2002 at Tokyo.

For his dedication and hard work for the betterment of labour, the government of Rajasthan honored Mr. Shrimali in the year 2003. He also holds very important positions such as that of State General Secretary at the Rajasthan INTUC as well as being the regional chairman of the Worker’s Education Board with 14 districts of Rajasthan falling under his accountability. He is also a former member of Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee.
