University Election 2013: Voting concludes peacefully
The University Student Union Election 2013 was conducted today at several colleges of Udaipur’s Mohanlal Sukhadia University (MLSU) and Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT).
A large number of students were gathered at College of Science, MLSU which has most number of student voters. 13 polling booths were installed in different colleges under tight police security.

A large number of students were gathered at College of Science, MLSU which has most number of student voters. 13 polling booths were installed in different colleges under tight police security.
Voting is concluded peacefully except a rumor of I cards of some students being seized. No authority has authenticated the information.
According to the sources, out of 2700, around 1200 votes were reported in Science College. Nearly 50 percent votes were reported in Commerce College and Faculty of Management Studies. College of Arts has reported more than 1200 votes, the number of student voters at Arts College are 2371.
Student candidates and their supporters were also present outside the colleges. Voting which started from morning, ended at 1 pm. The counting will start from late afternoon and results will be declared till tonight.
A cut-throat competition is expected between all three rival parties viz. ABVP, CSS and NSUI for the post of President – MLSU Student Union. According to the experts, NSUI might get advantage of close opposition between ABVP and CSS. Both CSS and ABVP had also tried their best to win the battle.
In MPUAT, Rajasthan College of Agriculture (RCA) has observed 80 percent voting. MPUAT’s College of Home Science has also declared its results and announced the names of winning candidates with Preeti Vajpayee as President, Tanvi Khurana – General Secretary and Yakshree as Joint Secretary and Treasurer.
