Ward No.2 Election Concludes; Results on 22nd July

Ward No.2 elections were conducted peacefully with more than 50% voting registered across most of the polling booths. BJP candidate Durgesh Sharma, Pramod Khabya from Congress & Independent contestants - Shailendra Singh Rao and Girjesh Purohit are contesting for the seat.

 

Ward No.2 Election Concludes; Results on 22nd July

Ward No.2 elections were conducted peacefully with more than 50% voting registered across most of the polling booths. BJP candidate Durgesh Sharma, Pramod Khabya from Congress & Independent contestants – Shailendra Singh Rao and Girjesh Purohit are contesting for the seat.

The result of the elections will be announced at Head office in Girwa on 22-07-12 in the morning.

According to UMC, Ward no. 2 is divided into five polling booths. The voting percentage registered at the various polling booths till 3:30 pm are as follows:

Booth no. 6 – 34.79%

Booth no. 7 – 52.92%

Booth no. 8 – 50.32%

Booth no. 9 – 51.51%

Booth no. 10 – 58.62%

There are a total 5525 voters in this ward out of which 2834 are male and 2691 are females.

Though the polling remained largely incident free, but some people from the Chipa Colony complained that their names were missing in the voter list.

Anil Sharma (Magistrate), Veer Bhadra Singh Chouhan (Zonal Magistrate), Dhyan Chand (R.I.Girwa) were present at the Polling Headquarter at Ambamata.

“The elections went peaceful. We are investigating the Chipa Coloney issue” said the oficials.
