The National president of Youth congress Amarjeet Singh Raja reached Udaipur to participate in the  Convention of Schedule Tribe held here at the Vivekananda Conference Hall, Mohan Lal Sukhadia University.

Raja was welcomed at the airport by a number of senior leaders and party workers including Vivek Katara and Abhimanyu Singh Jhala of Youth Congress and various other state level political leaders and supporters.

During the Convention attempts were made to make the congress stronger in tribal areas. Tribal areas was stronghold of Congress but during last elections, the votes were diverted to rival party.

During his speech, Amarjeet Singh Raja highlighted on several welfare schemes for tribals introduced by congress government but the Ruling government discontinued, he also stated that congress has always remained dedicated for the tribal people and worked for their development.
