Udaipur, Dec 08, 2025: The Delhi government has announced a big reward for Indian opening batter Pratika Rawal for her brilliant performance in the 2025 Women’s World Cup. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced a cash prize of ₹1.5 crore for her. The Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) also announced a reward of ₹50 lakh. With this, Pratika Rawal’s total prize money has reached ₹2 crore.

Pratika Rawal showed great form throughout the tournament. However, she could not play in the semi-final and final as she suffered a serious injury in the last group-stage match and was ruled out of the World Cup. Shafali Verma replaced her in the team.

Pratika played seven matches in the tournament and scored 308 runs at an average of 51.33. She finished fourth among the top run-scorers of the tournament.

Despite being ruled out of the tournament, Pratika Rawal joined her teammates in celebrating India’s World Cup title. She came to the field in a wheelchair and took part in the victory celebrations. She also attended the felicitation ceremony later, which was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Droupadi Murmu. ICC Chairman Jay Shah announced that Pratika will also receive a World Cup winner’s medal, even though she did not play in the final matches.

Rekha Gupta wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “Today, the Chief Minister welcomed Ms Pratika Rawal, the young and talented player of the Indian women’s cricket team, at Jan Seva Sadan. Our promising daughter Pratika has brought pride to Delhi. To honor her hard work and great performance, the Delhi government will give her a cash reward of ₹1.5 crore.”

She also wrote, “Pratika is a true example of the energy, courage, and strength of young women of Delhi and new India. Her journey shows that Delhi not only creates dreams but also helps them fly. I wish her a very bright future.”
