The 22nd National Karate Championship, organized by the Karate Association of Rajasthan, wrapped up on June 9, 2024, at the Chawat Sports Academy. The event witnessed an impressive turnout, with 377 athletes from 16 states showcasing their skills over two days of intense competition.
Rahul Sharma, representing the Karate Association of India and serving as the National President of the National Karate Association, along with Hasrat Khan, expressed delight at the fervour and spirit displayed by the participants throughout the championship.
Winners of the Championship
Adi Aroda clinched gold for the Rajasthan team, while Yash Aroda secured two gold medals. Additionally, Pashunesh, Mayansh Dod, and Harshvardhan claimed bronze medals in their respective categories.
The competition also saw remarkable achievements by other participants. Mayra Mehta emerged victorious with gold medals in both Karate and Kumite disciplines. Ishita and Parisha added bronze medals to their bags, while Somaya shone with two gold medals. Nivan secured a silver medal, while Arvind bagged gold and bronze medals. Kiara and Sanaya won silver and bronze medals, respectively.
