3rd Day Ranji Match: Team Rajasthan Trailing by 317 runs
On the third day of Ranji Trophy League match on Saturday at the Field Club Karnataka’s awesome bowling attack forced Rajasthan to play follow-on. Team Rajasthan could not defend their wickets and were all out for 255 runs.

Rajasthan resumed the match with overnight score of 49-2 and though all were looking expectantly towards Ashok Menaria who added 57 runs of 81 balls to the score but he could not save the team from follow-on. Besides Menaria, Robin Bist (47), wicketkeeper Rohit Jhalani (45), Rashmi Parida (20) tried to rescue the team but failed.
KP Appanna emerged as the most successful one to get 4 wickets for just 35 runs while Vinay Kumar Abhimanyu Mithun supported him by taking 2 and 3 wickets respectively.
In their second innings Rajasthan’s openers Vaibhav Deshpande and Vineet Saxena have added 51 runs to the score board of the team and are not out.the team is still trailing by 317 runs.
Karnataka will try to win by an inning when the match is resumed tomorrow whereas the host team has to put in all their batting talent to save the team from a defeat. They must hold their wickets to take the match towards a draw.
