Action Begins as Rock Climbing Wall Inaugurated at MLSU
After the Kumbhal Garh track, Field Events and Water Sports at Fateh sagar lake, the first Rock Climbing Wall of Rajasthan is inaugurated today at the Mohan Lal Sukhadia University’s Sports Board.
I. V. Trivedi, Vice-Chancellor of MLSU, inaugurated the adventure sport at 11 in the morning.
Special Guest of the occasion was Raghuveer Singh Rathore, International cricket umpire, while Prof. D. S. Chundawat, Chairman, University Sports Board, MLSU, led the inaugural event.
Vice-Chancellor Trivedi said, “The University is facing scarcity of sportspersons. I will sanction the demanded budget whenever asked, but I need excellent results and exceptional talent”.
“This is the very first Rock Climbing Wall in Rajasthan. The wall is 33 feet high and two persons at a time can climb on it. Rupees 13 lac are spent to build this wall. Students are very excited to pounce on their new adventure sport”, said Dipendra Singh Chauhan, Secretary, Sports Board, MLSU.
