Hosted by Mohanlal Sukhadia University Udaipur, the national level inter-university weight and power lifting championship ended in a lively function held at University’s auditorium today.

Displaying outstanding performance in the championship, Kurukshetra University grabbed the first position in Power Lifting while Calicut University and Shivaji University, Kolhapur remained on second and third positions respectively.

In Weight Lifting, Punjabi Univ. of Patiala grabbed the championship while Gurunanak Dev Univ Amritsar and Punjab Univ Chandigarh achieved second and third positions respectively.

Raghvendra Vayji of Usmania University was honored with the title of Best Power Lifter and M.S Kartik of Calicut Univ. got Best Weight Lifter’s title.

The closing ceremony was attended by many esteemed guests including Shreepal Sandhu (Arjuna Award), Raghuveer Singh Rathod (former international cricket umpire), Wilfred Thomas, Prof D.S Chudawat (president of Univ Sports Board) and Deependra Singh Chouhan (secretary).
